These Papageno and Papagena tea towel dolls are inspired by dolls I remember my grandma sewing for me when I was a child in the 70's as well as the wonderful set and costume designs by Emanuele Luzzati for the Glyndebourne production of The Magic Flute in 1963. The design is screen printed in Suffolk onto a linen/cotton union tea towel. Good for drying up and good for sewing.
